Smart Start understands that you lead a busy life. We strive to make the installation, calibration, and removal of your Ignition Interlock Device (IID) as easy and convenient as possible. Not only does Smart Start offer more service center locations than any other Ignition Interlock Device (IID) provider, but we also stay open during evenings and on Saturdays at many locations. Each Smart Start location is staffed with friendly, state-certified technicians who are trained to install our SSI-20/20™ Ignition Interlock or SSI-20/30™ Ignition Interlock on any vehicle make and model. Our technicians also offer one-on-one training at the time of installation so that you feel comfortable taking breath tests on your Ignition Interlock Device. Some Smart Start service centers even offer drive-thru calibration services!

(A “calibration” is a routine download required by the state, during which a technician will download all of your test results from the Ignition Interlock Device and upload them to a report that we send to your monitoring authority at no additional cost to you.)

Some states require that you install the required Ignition Interlock Device at a service center within the state lines. Other states require that you install and service your ignition interlock within state lines.
