Here’s how to add a BreathCheck account to your Client Portal.
You have two types of BreathCheck tests: BrACs and Check-Ins.
TIP: You can see how long your test window will last at the top of your phone’s screen when you initiate either a BrAC or Check-In test.
When your BreathCheck package arrives, the device will come with extra mouthpieces and a mini USB cord. To charge the BreathCheck device, plug the proper side of the mini USB cord into the device, and the other side into a wall outlet with the proper adaptor, or your computer with a mini USB outlet.
Your BreathCheck account is monitored by the oversight authority who enrolled you on the Smart Start program. Be sure to choose an appropriate and clear photo of yourself when you upload your profile picture on the app or Client Portal online. Keep in mind that once you successfully upload a photo, you cannot change it. You can ask your oversight authority and request to change it.
Make sure to rinse your mouth with water before each breath test! Some everyday items we use like mouthwash contain alcohol properties in them, and your BreathCheck device will detect any consumed alcohol. Rinsing your mouth with water before each BrAC test will help any contaminants dissipate quickly.
Did you know that your Client Portal is also available online? You can login just like you do on the app and access or manage your device(s) with Smart Start, or set-up your payment methods and turn on auto-pay.
Keep in mind that your BreathCheck BrAC and Check-In tests must be performed through the mobile app.
Make sure you turn Bluetooth on from your smart phone when you are taking your BreathCheck tests.
Please see the BreathCheck FAQ page for answers to your questions about the device and program.
