DUI Checkpoints in Long Beach, CA

DUI checkpoints for Labor Day Weekend in Long Beach, California began last week on Friday. As of Wednesday, August 27 over 1,300 people had been arrested. The DUI checkpoints will continue through the weekend, beginning Thursday, August 28 at 6pm and will end Monday, September 1 at 12am.

Everyone is encouraged to report any suspicious drivers to the authorities by calling 911. Drunk drivers can be identified as driving erratically, turning wide, braking suddenly, and bumping curbs or center dividers. The best way to avoid a DUI is to appoint a designated driver or use taxis.
