Don’t Drink and Drive: 2019 Super Bowl Weekend

Whether you’re a fan of the New England Patriots or Los Angeles Rams, there’s no doubt there will be excitement in the air across the U.S. with the upcoming Super Bowl LIII on February 3, 2019. With the Super Bowl, however, there will doubtless be watch parties and events that involve alcohol, which creates a big increase of supermarket or liquor store purchases before the game. In fact, in 2017 within the two weeks leading up to the Super Bowl, $1.3 billion was spent on beer, craft beer and cider.

If you are watching the Super Bowl game with your friends or family, make sure to have some fun while keeping yourself and others safe. • Choose public transportation – if taxis, buses or trains are available and running in your area, take the safer route for yourself and your friends to avoid drinking and driving
• Encourage your friends – make sure you’re looking out for each other. Pace yourselves, eat plenty of snacks and drink a lot of water during your watch party
