Smart Start Attends the Canadian Council of Motor Transport Administrators (CCMTA) Conference
Smart Start is proud to be a platinum sponsor for Canada’s largest gathering of highway safety administrators this year. Starting June 4, the Canadian Council of Motor Transport Administrators (CCMTA) will be having their conference until June 7.
The theme this year is “Leading the Pack in Road Safety,” and includes presentations, awards and invaluable networking. The conference will be in Yellowknife, the capital city of Canada’s Northwest Territories.
Who is CCMTA?
CCMTA is a national forum with a big vision for public road safety. The forum “coordinates all matters dealing with the administration, regulation and control of motor vehicles in Canada.” Their membership includes a governmental presence in every province and territory, as well as Canada’s federal government.
Current Projects
CCMTA is creating safer roads through various means.
The organization raises public awareness, such as the annual National Day of Remembrance for Road Crash Victims, and its campaign, Leave the Phone Alone.
CCMTA improves communication and collaboration among all stakeholders by sharing pertinent information to road safety.
They also support enforcement efforts and provide ongoing research and evaluation, such as the Road Safety Strategy 2015 project.
Smart Start’s international footprint extends to 17 other countries, apart from Canada. We strive to reach out and collaborate with other like-minded leaders to create a safer environment on all roads worldwide.
Smart Start hopes to see you at the CCMTA Conference!
