Texas mandate dictates that you will need to service your Ignition Interlock Device (IID) once every 30-67 days as determined by your jurisdiction.
Once you have scheduled your Ignition Interlock Device (IID) installation with Smart Start, you will need to bring the following to your IID installation appointment:
- Two forms of photo identification
- Any and all court paperwork that has been given to you
- Proof of residence
- Car insurance and vehicle registration
In Texas, you can pay for your Interlock Device calibration via credit card at the Smart Start service center at the time of calibration or via the online Client Portal.
In Texas, any and all of the following may constitute a violation:
- Testing at or above the fail level of .030
- Skipping or failing a rolling re-test
- Missing your scheduled IID service appointment
