Getting a DUI in Georgia comes with significant financial penalties. The fines for a DUI, as listed by the Georgia Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, include:

• $300-1,000 for a first offense
• $600-1,000 for a second offense within five years
• $1,000-5,000 for a third offense within five years of the second

These fines don’t include additional costs like court fees and the cost of an attorney.

You could also be subject to fees that include:

• License reinstatement fee of $200 (by mail) or $210 (in person)
• $360 fee for a DUI Risk Reduction course

Finally, you’ll also be responsible for the cost of your Interlock Device. As noted by the Georgia Department of Driver Services, you may be able to petition the court for a financial hardship waiver if affording an IID poses a financial challenge for you.
