Calibration Appointments and Grace Periods for Your Ignition Interlock

First, you should know that the way calibrations are scheduled is up to your state, not your Ignition Interlock provider. If you need to calibrate your Ignition Interlock every month, or however long your oversight authority gives you, you need to comply with this requirement and all others until the end of your program. Missed service appointments could unfortunately result in a lockout. However, in some states, if you contact your provider before-hand, there are short “grace periods” you can use to prevent a violation or penalty from occurring for missing a calibration appointment.
