“Too Cold” means that your unit’s internal components are too cold, and they need to warm up to optimal temperature before you can take your test.  Although your SMART Mobile™ has an incredible battery that can last up to five days on a single charge, the unit’s heater doesn’t turn on unless the device is plugged in.  To avoid the “Too Cold” error—or to resolve it—simply plug your device into a wall outlet or a USB port to charge it.  The act of charging will quickly warm your device, and your device will notify you when it is warm enough to take your test.  It really is that easy!

You can also avoid getting the “Too Cold” error message by bringing your device inside with you and keeping it in a warmer area.  If you leave your unit in your car or near the door during the winter, its components may cool too much.  However, if you bring the unit with you, you can exercise more control over its internal temperature.
