Abort Messages?

Abort messages mean you did not successfully complete your breath test on your Interlock. However, they do guide you in taking your next test by providing specific messages, such as Blow Longer or Blow Softer, so you know how to fix your breath test pattern. Keep in mind that abort messages are not fails!

Let’s go over how to avoid BLOW LONGER messages on your Interlock Device.

What Does ‘Blow Longer’ Mean, and How Do I Fix My Breath Pattern?

If your Interlock reads BLOW LONGER, this means your air pressure was not sufficient, or you did not blow long enough into the mouthpiece.

Once your Interlock resets with the word BLOW, you can attempt the test again. Take a deep breath before starting your test. When you take your test, maintain a steady airflow, or increase your airflow pressure. After successfully completing your test, you’ll be back on the road in no time.
