Smart Start’s SSI-20/20 and SSI-1000 use alcohol specific fuel cell sensors with a patented breath sampling system. All user test results and attempts are stored in a microchip and subsequently reported to the appropriate monitoring authorities using our proprietary SmartLog® interpretation and reporting software.

The SSI-20/20 can be integrated with our patented Photo ID camera module that captures a picture of the user of the interlock; identifying who took the breath test.

An Alcohol Monitoring System for the Home

The SMART START IN-HOM™ unit is an affordable alternative for the offender who does not have a car yet still needs some form of alcohol monitoring.  The system allows the offender to be tested for alcohol at home, along with a photo transaction of the event.  The IN-HOM is practical, affordable, portable and easy to use.
