What happens after I get my DUI?
In the state of New Hampshire, state law dictates that any person whose license or permission to drive has been revoked or suspended for an aggravated DWI offense, or a subsequent DWI offense shall be required by the court after the period of revocation or suspension to install an Ignition Interlock Device in any vehicle registered to or used by that person on a regular basis, for not less than 12 months nor more than 2 years.
What do I need to bring to my installation?
Once you have scheduled your Ignition Interlock Device installation, you will need to bring the following to your installation appointment:
- Photo identification
- Title, auto insurance, owner of vehicle or authorization to have the Ignition Interlock Device installed into vehicle
What should I bring back to my State authority after my device is installed?
After you Ignition Interlock Device is installed, you will receive a certificate proving installation of the Ignition Interlock Device. You will need to bring this installation certificate to the New Hampshire Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) as a condition of reinstatement of your license to drive. The New Hampshire DMV may mark your license and your number plate by use of a striping sticker accordingly.

Where does installation fall based on my condition?
Unless you’re installing voluntarily in New Hampshire, you must receive a court order or an order from the New Hampshire Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) before you install your Ignition Interlock Device (IID).

No; it only takes pictures of your actual tests. There is no live video feed.
