If you’ve been charged with Driving Under the Influence (DUI) in New Hampshire and must install an Ignition Interlock Device (IID) or car breathalyzer, you’re likely curious about the cost. According to the New Hampshire Department of Motor Vehicles website, If you have been convicted of an aggravated DWI offense under RSA 265-A:18, I(b) or I(c), or a subsequent DWI offense under RSA 265-A:18, IV, you will be required to install an Ignition Interlock Device (IID) in any vehicle registered to you or used by you on a regular basis. This requirement will go into effect after the period of revocation or suspension of your license has been served. The IID must be installed for a minimum of 12 months.
If you have received notification from the DMV that you are required to have an Ignition Interlock Device installed, you must present a Certificate of Installation issued by an approved vendor to the Bureau of Financial Responsibility at the Concord DMV office.
